Move items from one sales order to another

There are three ways to transfer items from one sales order to another if you need to redistribute inventory or split one sales order into two.

Add items from another sales order

  1. Navigate to your sales order, then select item icon Add Items.
  2. Choose move items icon Move Items from Existing Order(s).
  3. In the popup window, select one or more orders by checking the box(es) on the left pane. Click Select.
  4. The left pane will then show all the items on the orders you selected.
  5. Find the “Enter Qty” column and type in the number of items you want to remove from that order and move to your order on the right pane and hit Enter.

Note: When you move items this way, the item will be canceled on the order it came from.

Quick inventory move using the Product Status Window

  1. Navigate to your sales order
  2. Find the list of items in the Main View tab mid-way down the sales order.
  3. Click directly on the name of the item to pop open the Product Status Window.
  4. Towards the bottom of the popup Product Status Window, click the All Sales Orders tab.
  5. Click the to the left of each order you wish to adjust to change the allocation and quantities of the orders that include this item.
  6. Hit Enter to complete your changes.

Split items from current order to a new order for the same customer

In eGrow Connect you are able to split a sales order multiple times and the system will keep track of each split and keep those orders grouped together. The first split order will have the same order number with a -1 following, the second will have -2, and so on.

Note: Keep in mind that the starting sales order can never be voided so if there is a cancellation of remaining product on the original open order, it will have to remain a blank sales order in the system.

  1. Navigate to your sales order, then the split order icon Show Split tab.
  2. Enter the quantities of items you want to split to a new order in the “Qty to Split” column.
  3. Click on split order icon Split Order in the taskbar.

Tip: You can view a summary of all order splits by clicking on split summary icon Split Summary in the top menu.
