Add internal and/or external notes to an order

Sales orders, master orders, credit memos, and quotes have a variety of places to keep notes. Some are internal, meaning only visible within your nursery, and some are external, visible to the customer.

Overall Order Notes

Notes that apply to the entire order can be left in the Notes tab near the top of the order.

Individual Item Notes

Notes that apply to line items can be left in the Show Notes tab above the order items list. Read more about line item order notes.

Recurring notes that will appear on all new orders for a customer

  1. Navigate to sales section icon Sales, then customers icon Customers.
  2. Double-click on the customer.
  3. Click on the Notes tab, and enter notes for all future orders.

Tip: Notes entered in the Popup Notes box will appear as a popup window whenever a new order is created for that customer.
