Place a credit limit or credit hold on a customer

You may place a credit hold or a credit limit on your customers to remind you about their financial standing.

Credit Holds

Placing a credit hold will add a “Credit Hold” badge next to the customer name when creating new orders and prevent new orders for that customer from being created.

To place a credit hold on a customer:

  1. Navigate to sales section icon Sales, then customers icon Customers.
  2. Click on the Other Info tab in the right pane.
  3. Click Yes next to the Credit Hold option.

Credit Limits

eGrow Connect allows you to select how you want credit limits to be calculated in system setup logo System Setup > Company Preferences > Sales. Once you select a calculation method and enter a credit limit amount for a customer, an alert will appear if a new order is being created if they have met or exceeded their credit limit. The alert does not prevent you from creating a new order, only reminds you that their credit limit has been reached.

To enter a credit limit on a customer:

  1. Navigate to sales section icon Sales, then customers icon Customers.
  2. Click on the Other Info tab in the right pane.
  3. Enter a dollar amount in the Credit Limit field.
