Make bulk price adjustments
You can adjust the price of inventory items using the Price Adjustments tool. This tool is designed to make price changes to items in bulk, not individual items. Individual price adjustments can be easily done in the Item Sizes Library
Example Scenario: A grower raises prices on all items each August. Each container size is increased by a different amount. The grower uses the filters to populate a list of 1 gallon material and applies a $.10 increase to all the items in the list.
- Navigate to
Inventory, then
Price Adjustments.
- Click on
New Adjustment.
- Step 1: Use filters on the left to generate a list of items for price adjustment on the right, then click Filter Items.
- Step 2: Enter price change information, check all the items that you want to apply the price change to, then click Apply Criteria.
- Step 3: Review the price changes, then click Update Prices.
Making Price Adjustments using Excel
You can also export a list of items to excel, make adjustments there, then upload the new prices back into eGrow Connect.
- Click on
New Adjustment.
- Use the Step 1 filters to generate a list of items for price adjustment, then click Filter Items. Leave filters blank to include the entire inventory.
- Click on Export to Excel in the bottom left of the "Items Filtered" tab.
- Make the adjustments in the Excel spreadsheet by changing only the "New Price" column.
- When finished, click the
Copy/Paste Import button and a new window will pop up.
- Select all of the data from your newly updated Excel spreadsheet (Note: do not include the header row), right-click and choose Copy.
- Then, right-click in the "Copy/Paste Import Price Adjustment" window and choose Paste as Plain Text. Your data will appear and may not look organized, that's normal.
- Click
Import Data in the upper left corner.
- Your new price data will now appear in the eGrow Connect system and you can review it before clicking on Update Prices in the left pane.
Tip: You can view your price adjustment history using the Adjustment History button in the menu. You can also undo a price adjustment if you need to.
